WESTIVAL

History

This is an annual Community event on Fryer Field and was established in 2017, designed to simply bring everyone together.

Entry is always free, and stalls are always welcome.

Telephone: 01202 861044 or
email: office@westmoors-tc.gov.uk

Since then the Town Council has endeavoured to improve the event’s success each year. The mini festival in West Moors proved to be not so mini this year, with over 3000 people in attendance. There will always be an array of activities and entertainment, live music, Wheel Display, refreshments and more on offer. The date will always be the second Saturday of July.

What's on

This year, Audio All Stars' will be playing for the duration of the event.

Performing his Children's show and circus workshop skills again, will be KRAZY KEV.

With a variety of over 50 stalls, and a cracking wheel display there is bound to be something for everyone.

Tipsy Tow Bar will be our mobile bar this year.

Every year previous, there has been an amazing raffle of up to 30 prizes to be won, but this year, we are making things a little more exciting by offering a cash prize raffle!

1st prize is £500, 2nd Prize is £300 and the 3rd Prize is £200.

All made possible thanks to the generous local businesses sponsoring this.

On Saturday 8th July this year, we all had a great time at Fryer Field, during the 3rd WESTIVAL.

The purpose of the day was not to make money, but lots of memories. Entry and some activities were free, others very reasonably priced.

WMTC wanted to show its residents that they are here for them and believe that at least once a year, everyone should get together and share stories, have fun and show how strong West Moors Community is.

The following comments were spoken by many of those that attended as well as took part:
"Great day out that didn't cost a fortune", "Fantastic atmosphere", "really good for the community", "so well organised", "We will definitely come again next year", "Feel good summer event, brilliant day, and I won a bag full of prizes thanks to various stall tombola's and the main event raffle".

There were so many people that made the event happen and they deserve a huge thank you. Volunteers, Sponsorship and the Council themselves.
