Community Speedwatch coming to West Moors

Many residents express concern about the speed that traffic travels through West Moors.

One such resident, and West Moors Councillor, Cllr Trevor Salt, was very keen to revive the Community Speed Watch scheme that ran successfully in West Moors a few years ago, so began investigating a couple of months ago. He is now at the stage of needing a few more members.

Schemes like this can only be successful if they are supported by volunteers from the community. If you are one of the concerned people, then now is the time to do something about it. The more volunteers the less time that each one needs to give to the scheme and the more monitoring that can be done.

The Town Council is buying the necessary equipment and will support the scheme by attending the training given by Dorset Police’s Community Speed Watch Coordinator.
