New Mobile Police Stations

New Mobile Police Stations

Dorset Police have launched two new Mobile Police Stations to bring policing directly to towns, villages and rural communities. Between 11am and 1pm, the Eastern vehicle will be at: Sainsburys Ferndown on the 1st Tuesday of the month, and Verwood Memorial Hall on the 1st Thursday of the month. Residents can visit to report crime/antisocial behaviour/nuisance, ask for information or advice, pass information on to police etc. Click the link in the title for the latest updates on this service. Habitat Restoration in Slop Bog Nature Reserve

Habitat Restoration in Slop Bog Nature Reserve

Dorset Council's Green Space Team will be working on a habitat restoration project across five Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs) in East Dorset this autumn, including Slop Bog. The aim is to safeguard some of the world’s rarest wildlife habitats while reducing the risk of wildfires to both nature and nearby communities. The work is expected to be completed by the end of December. During this time, signage will be in place to help guide visitors around any temporarily closed areas.
