Were you affected by flooding earlier this year? Over the coming months, Wessex Flood Wardens will be running a number of drop-in sessions in the worst affected areas, in conjunction with Dorset Council and Wessex Water. Share your experience, speak to key organisations and get additional information and advice. Sessions run between 3 and 7pm at the following locations: 21st April - The Palm House, Weymouth, 23rd April - Pimperne Village Hall, Blandford, 14th May - Pamela Hambro Hall, Winterborne Stickland, 21st May - Sydling St Nichola Village Hall, 4th June - Stratton Village Hall, Dorchester. If you want to find out more about local issues, plans and goings-on, don't miss our Annual Town Meeting tomorrow evening! We meet at St Anthony's Church Hall, Pinehurst Road at 7pm. This year's guest speaker, author Mary van Coller, will share fascinating anecdotes and findings from her travels in East Dorset. Our Good Citizen Award 2026 will celebrate those who have been nominated for their selfless work in or contributions to our community. The lighter evenings are here at last and lots of our regular football teams are moving onto the grass for training, meaning availability has opened up on our 3G football pitch on Fryer Field.
