Children's Christmas Card Competition

For many years the children of West Moors have taken part in a competition to design a Christmas picture to be the face of the Council Christmas card. The winner receives a pack of 20 of their printed card design. They - and 2 runners up - will also receive an arts & crafts bundle.
Entries will be judged by a representative of the Council.

The 2025 competition is now closed.

2025 Winners

1st Place: Ellie Mae Vickers, age 10, West Moors Middle School
Ellie's beautiful Christmas tree (pictured above) really stood out with it's intricate sketched design and careful colour placement. Well done Ellie!

Runner Up 1: Elle Hall, age 10, West Moors Middle School
We really liked Elle's careful attention to detail in her impressively neat gonk design.

Runner Up 2: Lucas Trim-Smith, Year 5, West Moors Middle School
We loved the boldness of Lucas' striking snowy village scene, and the clever effect of the falling snow.

Runner Up 3: Amelia Sharpe, Year 2, St Mary's First School
We loved the colour and magic in Amelia's festive design.

Runner Up 4: Leah Williams-McIntyre, age 12, West Moors Middle School
We were impressed by Leah's drawing skills in this cartoon-inspired design.

We received a huge amount of entries this year, and it was so hard to choose our favourites. That's why we had 4 runner ups for 2025! A huge thank you to all the childrn who submitted an entry - we hope you enjoyed designing them. We'll be making a Christmas window display from all the entries, and we're sure it will bring all who see it lots of Christmas joy and cheer.
