Long-standing society in this community

The Horticultural Society is a thriving organisation with approximately 400 members. They hold two major shows per year.

Nine talks a year usually on the second Monday of the month are held on various subjects of interest, some of which include slide shows. They also organise four outings per year. Coffee mornings are held in the Memorial Hall two mornings per year, in January and October. Anyone is welcome to come along for a coffee and a chat. A plant sale is held on the first Saturday of May.
